James was on his way back to the apartment to check in and rest after another fruitless search when he saw a man walking around wearing just the sheet they had when they arrived. He was trying to get into a store, but failing miserably.

"Hey!" James said when it looked like he was about to start climbing a wall. He wasn't quite sure what to say to stop the guy, but that just didn't seem like a good idea. He knew he probably looked odd, carrying a wok around, but it was better than being completely unarmed.

Wow. Sorry for the fail there >_< failssassin November 29 2011, 05:29:03 UTC
The shout was enough to stop Desmond from climbing the building, but only because he didn't want anyone to see him do such. He had already find a path that would quickly lead him to the top of the building, but it would have to wait for now.

Securing the sheet with a knot on his hip (God what he'd give for real clothes at the moment), he turned toward the young man hailing him, offering him a slight sheepish smile.

"Hey.....You wouldn't happen to be the owner of this shop, wouldn't you be?"

"No, I'm not... there isn't one anymore, if there ever was" James said. He walked over to the display window and smashed it in. "I'll get the door."

He was lucky there had been clothes in the morgue when he arrived, although he'd upgraded to something less flashy not too long after he'd left. This was one of the areas he'd already searched.

"Help yourself to whatever you want. No one will mind," He said when he unlocked the door. This way the entrance was kept clear of broken glass, which was good for the man with bare feet.

The former bartender's eyes widened as the young man smashed the window, not even seemingly bothered by the crime. But sure enough, there was no alarm that sounded, no one coming out to see what the shattering glass sound was all about. Desmond pondered for a very short moment before walking in the shop to quickly grab jeans and a T-shirt and a warmer shirt to go over. Using a full rack of dress to hide himself, he slipped on the clothes, instantly grateful for the warmth it provided.

"How do you know that? I mean...Do you know anything about this place?"

James looked away, even though the guy was hiding behind a clothes rack. "I don't know much about this place, just that we all woke up here and it's creepy and empty," He explained. There was nothing in the store that looked like it needed to be investigated, so James stayed where he was, keeping an eye on the street.

"And that we're all from different times and places. It's weird."

Desmond took quick strides to the shoe stand in the store and and slipped on running shoes that somehow was reminiscent of the ones he used to wear in his world. He knew he should think about getting a set of change clothes, but without a definite place to live in, it was a moot point. And so the novice came out of the store to join the young man in the streets again, this time fully clothed.

"Different times and places?" he asked, his brow knitting together lightly. It was like the Underworld, where people came from different times and different universes as well.
