It has been said, "Not all learning place in the classroom." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from personal experience with knowledge gained from classroom instructions. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?
We can gain knowledge in many different ways. There are two main ways -- personal experience and knowledge gained from classroom instructions. The last method contains not only school, but books, film, friends' experience and others. I'd like to compare and contrast these methods.
From classroom instructions we can get a lot of theoretical knowledge, the knowledge of all people who were living before us. It's a basic, important and necessary attainment. We can much easier gain other knowledge with help of it. Many famous people have said that the main purpose of they progress was experience of other great persons. So if you avoid classroom instructions, you avoid your past. And if you avoid your past, you avoid your future.
Otherwise, personal experience incident with real life. If you want to study something, you have to try it yourself. Nobody can do it in place of you. Classroom instructions cannot give you everything, there are many things which are impossible to understand without personal experience. You can read hundreds of painting books and not be able to paint.
In conclusion, we usually gain theoretical knowledge from classroom instructions and gain practical knowledge from personal experience. Each type of knowledge is important, but I think that classroom instructions are more important. At first, theoretical knowledge is the basis for everything. If you don't gain it, it takes much more time to get other knowledge. Second, sometimes it's dangerous to avoid classroom instructions. For example, you first personal experience with electricity could be the last one. Finally, progress is a result not solitary who learn only from himself experience, but persons who use all cumulative knowledge.
