It is so hot in here.
Don't get me wrong, I love the summer. But, I also thoroughly enjoy air conditioning. I used to have a little window unit that worked pretty well; but, it broke.
Now, we have this sorry little a/c the landlord left installed, in a rather peculiar manner, in the living room. [Peculiar Manner: A hole was cut out of the rear wall in the living room. The unit was set into place and anchored with what appears to be two by fours and duct tape. Behind the unit is not the outdoors; but, instead, a small room which serves to vent an oven, previously used by the restaurant.]
We have opened the windows in the small room; still, though, our awkward cooling device is barely working. Two of our thermometers tell us that it is about 85 degrees in here. I am such a pussy. I am miserable.
On the brighter side of things, my mom has taken Henry for a bit so that I may boil in peace. Her place has central air but I'm too damn stubborn to give up my alone time.
Edit: I give up. My sister is en route to pick me up.
