From Marie's yard, gracing my countertop.
I've been so wrapped up in the analog universe of my new (to me) massive typewriter, I haven't made it to the computing console. It's a beaut! Accommodates 40 cm wide paper! I've been typing letters, notes to self, guitar chords, poems, dreams, etc. Also, sitting in my treehouse everyday after work, usually with a spliff and a ginger beer.
I made it out to the marsh twice today, and to two coffeeshops. In the evening, with Grant, after the sun had set, we walked along the old rail line, reading poetry and smoking in the fading light. Stopping for a moment to notice the bare trees, blackbird silhouettes against the roan sky and rusty lines curving into soft darkness. Oh I am living it up, I tell you what. My days are full of never-ending rhythm. Lest I forget the last part of my pledge: know that the lesson arrives at the moment I am ready to learn it. Moving on up.
Also! I got my college degree in the mail today. It's official: B.A. in Art, magna cum laude.
