I am nothing if nothing.
If I were to be somehow aware of everyone's plight
wrong would I be to act as if I wasn't bound
by a power known to only myself.
Foreheads of many are furrowed in those last thoughts
that only their waning lights illuminate.
If I were aware and couldn't act, due to a lack of power,
a sad and helpless omniscient being I would be.

A cup of coffee is a splendid thing
a shock to their minute
a snap to bridge their synapses.
