So, my first day went well. My two professors from my day's classes were both interesting. Time will tell. Tomorrow I have my other two classes.
I noticed a few things today.
1) it was unseasonably warm. like, by warm, I mean 60 degrees. last week it was 5 degrees.
2) most everyone, as they come out of a dark building into the sunlight, scowl and scrunch up their faces. It's a very humbling thing. I've never understood why people insist on scrunching their entire faces up... really, all you need is to squint your eyes a bit... none of this "let's see how ugly of a face I can make." bullshit. like, "hey, I'm going to try and catch flies with my bare teeth." It's humbling. Rich people, poor people, smart people, stupid people, smelly people, pleasant people... they all scowl.
3) I still find myself being that guy in class that ends up answer the professor's questions because everyone else is too shy. Don't worry, I'm not that person that just blabs and blabs while the professor is trying to lecture... but if they ask those questions and then insist on waiting until someone answers... that's me.
