There's this thing that's been happening for quite a while. It's a misconception that many people quite innocently hold to be true. I just want to set the record straight.
Brian and I a re two different, distinct and whole human beings. We are individuals. Neither one of us requires the other in order to think, feel, have an opinion or make a decision. I understand that we are very similar. We are. We are very compatible. But we are also very different.
Please do not automatically assume that telling one of us something constitutes telling both of us. We don't share a hive mind. We cannot read each others' thoughts. We are, in fact, not the same person. By the same token, please do not assume that we share the same opinions, beliefs, knowledge and interests. You probably shouldn't ask me how to fix your computer or find a bit torrent. Don't ask Brian how to stretch a canvas, or what a Chifti rhythm is.
We are not so wrapped up in each other that we don't have time for anything or anyone else. Yes, we like to be around each other and we enjoy doing things together. Duh. That's why we're together. But if you want to hang out with one of us, and tell the other to GTFO, fine. We are both able to function on our own. Don't feel the need to lump us together as one person. We're not.
That is all. Thank you.
