So today, one of my closest girlfriends (who's non-anime/games/anything geeky lol) here told me that I should start a blog. I-If she only knew. It also got me to thinking about just how dorky/geeky I am. Basically, I have...
#1 - played games, which include RPGs, love sims (for girls and BL-oriented), puzzle/adventures, fighting games (way back in junior high), shooting games (in arcades!), a failed attempt at online first-person shooting games (but an attempt nonetheless)
#2 - read manga, watched anime and followed all related things (ie. doujinshi, fanfics, fanart [pixiv!], seiyuu interviews, events and videos, dabbling in fandom by translating or writing fanfic)
#3 - watched American cartoons (eg. ATLA, Kim Possible, Invader Zim)
#4 - participated in multi-fandom/single fandom journal roleplays
#5 - cosplayed as female characters and crossplayed as male characters for conventions and private photo-shoots
#6 - followed J-pop/K-pop entertainment (idol groups & dramas) and all related things (ie. pretty much the same deal as #2, but without the seiyuu lol)
#7 - read BL and loved it; not just 2D BL, but RPS too.
#8 - read Sci-fi/fantasy books
All I'm missing to really seal in my dork(geek)ery are (a) table-top D&D type games, (b) American comics, (c) vocaloid, (d) memorization of dance moves to a popular anisong (eg. Haru Haru Yukai).
My
lovelies, what are your thoughts on this? Have you reached my definition of dork(geek)dom? How would you define dork(geek)dom?
