"Oh my, that looks simply wonderful! You really are good at baking!"
Jun flushed at the extravagant praise; he was used to hearing it on variety shows, but never with such earnest sincerity. Taking off his mittens, he avoided his partner's eyes, nodding at the apple pie he had set on the window sill. "We just need to let it cool," he said, clearing his throat awkwardly.
"Thank you, Jun," his partner giggled girlishly; Jun's flush darkened further. "Now then, what shall we do while we wait?"
Jun shrugged casually, busying himself with cleaning spilled flour off the kitchen counter. "We could watch TV, I guess," he said, keeping his gaze on the counter.
"I do like that idea," said his partner, sounding truly apologetic, "But I'm afraid we don't have a TV in our house. It was ruined the last time Goo--"
"I could try fixing it," Jun said, grasping for a distraction - any distraction.
"Will you?" gasped his partner. "Oh, you're too kind!"
Jun made the mistake of glancing over; her eyes shone so radiantly with pure joy that he found himself at a loss for words.
It was right at that moment that the front door opened, and the spell was broken. "I'm home!" called a voice cheerfully from the living room; Jun's heart shot to his throat in fear as it came closer to the kitchen. "And wait'll you see who I brought with me!"
"Oh my--" said his partner, but two people had appeared at the kitchen entrance before she could finish her sentence.
Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say one person and one mouse.
"Minnie!" Mickey Mouse cried, when he caught sight of Jun standing beside his beloved wife.
"Oh goodness," said Minnie, clasping nervously at the fringes of her skirt. "It's not what you think, Mickey!"
"So that's what you've been doing with your free time," said Ohno, smiling sweetly. Then, like a bee to honey, he drifted towards the window sill with a dreamy look on his face. "Is that apple pie?"
As Ohno stuck his finger into the pie for a taste, the internationally famous Disney couple bickered, complete with cartoonish exclamation points and anger clouds floating around them. Behind, Jun silently turned to thump his head several times against the nearest wall.
Notes: You know "Who Killed Roger Rabbit?" and how cartoons and people can interact in the same world and... yeah.
