This is really interesting! Thank you so much for sharing. Seeing as I have never been to either type of events, this kind of report is a real eye-opener.
Host club: Wow, the process is really dependent on first impressions, isn't it. Is 15 minutes actually sufficient?? I guess it's better than providing a client without choices, but it's a lot more...hm, businesslike isn't the word I'm looking for. Something along the lines of that?
As an aside: how different is it, listening to Osaka-ben? Is it a little like listening to a different set of vocabulary from Tokyo-ben? The only exposure I have to it is a few J-Rock videos and Kanjani8, and usually I read the subtitles XD;;
Your host Kyou is really cute. As was the Chinese lion ♥ LOL chomper. I typed Chopper initially, which is...LOLLLL.
Also, you seem to meet the nicest people ever. That's so sweet of the Haruhi-chan to just immediately offer help! Awww. Good luck to her studies. (And you to yours!)
It's good that your skin is oily! Your skin will keep well and age well, and you won't have to deal with wrinkles that soon. (At least, that's what I tell myself XD;; but it's totally true!)
Host club: Mm... depends on the host and the conversation? Like with Daichi, for example, 15 minutes wasn't only sufficient, it was maybe a bit of an overload for me. For Ryoma and Kyou though, 15 minutes was definitely not enough! But you're right, it's all about first impressions for the selection process.
Aside: Osaka-ben not only has a different set of vocabulary, but also a totally different tonal quality. It sounds rougher, more casual, more friendly. To me, Tokyo-ben is crisp, proper and not quite as enjoyable to listen to.
OMG chomper Chopper. XDD We have a name for the lion!
This city is full of sweet people, I think. ;;b I'll relay your wishes to Haruhi-chan, thank you. ♥
I hear that a lot. XD We'll look youthful in our old age together. <3
