It's still the 25th in America Land, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHO. ♥ And Silly Girl. XD She went around reminding everyone it was her birthday yesterday.
The ELT concert was fun!
Really, really reminded me of the intimacy of small venues. Mocchi (Mochida, the singer) had an acoustic section, where she or Ikkun (Itou, the guitarist) would talk in between songs, and it was such a small venue that people could yell things out at them and have an actual conversation. XD One guy wouldn't stop yelling things out at Mocchi, and she was so kind that she responded to every one. And she is such a snarky little thing, it's just too adorable. The guy shouted completely random nonsense too, like:
GUY: I shaved my head bald!
MOCCHI: Whoa, that's ... very personal. I see. That must be cold in the winter, right? Why did you do it?
GUY: EXILE.
MOCCHI: EXILE? Ah, you wanted to look like Atsushi from EXILE?
GUY:
GUY:
GUY:
MOCCHI: Now you're ignoring me?? You're the one who started this conversation.
GUY: People told me I look like a monk!
MOCCHI: A monk? ... what happened to the EXILE talk?
A different guy kept trying to talk to her too, telling her things like the fact that he was supposed to come with his girlfriend, but she couldn't make it at the last minute. XD Mocchi was like, "What is this? What's with all the attempt at one-on-one conversations in public? Have you always been like this, Tottori??" She also did the most adorable Medama-Oyaji impression ever ("Oi! Kitaro!") and made Ikkun do it, too. Ikkun was exactly the way he was on variety shows - quiet, mild sort of presence. He spoke a little bit, asking us about curry and the best place for curry, and people were yelling suggestions to him. He also asked what we did for New Years and people yelled Kouhaku and so on.
In short, small venues are AMAZING. Especially if the artists are as awesome as ELT and willing to entertain the audience even when they shout stupid things. XD
The disappointing bit was, well. Mocchi was so off-tune. It was especially obvious in the acoustic section, where everything depended on a good set of vocals. Her vocal quality was excellent - she had projection; it was strong and clear - but she couldn't control her voice. She couldn't hit the high notes, she went way off the key at some points... it surprised me. Maybe she wasn't feeling well, maybe the hall didn't have the right acoustics and she couldn't really hear the band behind her... whatever it was, it really wasn't her day. At least she totally made up for this with her spirit and sense of presence on stage, I guess.
Ikkun, on the other hand, looked so very hot when he worked that guitar. Mm-mm. ♥
Okay, so um. This is embarrassing, b-but um. I'm on a huge Gundam Seed/Destiny kick again, but unfortunately, I had lost everything when my old laptop crashed a few years ago, so um.
Can anyone point me to Gundam Seed/Destiny radio dramas and/or radio shows?
I don't remember if all of them were ever translated or not, but I will so do translations as a thank you. o/
