A typical conversation with my oldest niece

So Terra just turned 7 last week, and I was chilling with her at my brother's house yesterday. She runs downstairs to me and excitedly tells me the following story about my brother's two cats, Alex and George.
T: Auntie! Auntie! I went to look for the kitties and Alex was on top of Chad's bed and George was underneath the bed!!
A: Wow Terra, that's a great story! Can you tell it again?
T: Yeah! I went upstairs and Alex was on top of Chad's bed and George was underneath the bed!"
A: That's really cool. So George was on the side of the bed and Alex was in the bathroom?
T: No, Alex was on top, George was underneath.
A: Oh, ok. I get it. George was on top of the bed and Alex is down here?
T: No Auntie. Alex was on top and George was underneath the bed.
A: I'm confused. So both cats were on the side of the bed?
T: Auntie, please listen closely. *She slowly explains it again, illustrating with her hands
A: Oh!! Finally I get it. Both cats were underneath the bed and Chad was on top of the bed. Sorry it took me so long to understand.
T: No, Auntie, you don't quite get it yet. *Proceeds to patiently explain to me again where each of the cats where. Meanwhile my family listens from the other room, laughing. I'm sure this could have gone on for at least another 10 minutes and Terra would have calmly explained the whereabouts of each cat to her dumbass aunt each time.

I'm confident both of my nieces will grow up with an abundance of patience. I'm a pretty cool aunt.

October has been a phenomenal month. Certainly the busiest and most expensive of my life, but I loved every minute of it. I might blog about it if I have time, but that's doubtful. Facebook does a decent job of documenting my month in pictures.

Peace!
