Being 18

  1. It's spring break for me, which means... going to Milwaukee with my friends, hanging out with my relations and studying for AP tests.
But I've been fascinated with this new concept: I'm 18. Being 18 means that you're legally an adult, but what does this really mean?

-Does it mean I'm off GDL?- I have no idea. I tried to convince my mother, but had no such luck.

What it does mean is that I can go into adult shops and buy sexual toys, or buy cigs if I wanted to.
If I gain citizenship, I have to do it myself.
If I kill someone I go to big boy jail.
I can party.
I can date as old as I want (but not as young as I want).
I can buy alcohol abroad, but not in New Delhi where the age is 25, but in Bangalore where the age is 18.
I can buy stuff off of the TV... because I always wanted a Twist-a-braid (but I got one, so no big!)
I can get married!!
....or buy a lottery ticket.
....or own land.
...or sign my life away.
...or get pierced or tattoo'd in some awkward place.
I could get a real job and work a bunch more hours.

But most of all, I'll have that feeling. That, you can't treat me bad, I'm an adult and you're an adult feeling.
Well... at least when I get out of high school.
