ok so i am in need of help.
My sister is holding a fundraiser in berwick on the 18th of August for the PKD foundation (trivia and silent auction)
This is a cause that is very close to my heart; as it is a disease that is affecting my family.
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), is the most common of ALL life-threatening
genetic diseases, but its hardly known. It affects more people than Down
Syndrome, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, hemophilia, sickle cell
anemia and Huntington's disease COMBINED! can you believe that! and most
people have never heard of it.
Anyway i am doing a shout out for donations for the fundraiser - if anyone knows anyone who can offer a gift for the trivia night or silent auction it would be a great help.
i am also looking for a team to join me for the trivia - sorry that its in Berwick
At this stage we have not got deductable gift recipient status from the ATO, but we are working on it. If we do get endorsed by August, then the business will benefit for tax purposes, but this is a long process and I cannot promise anything.
The money raised will go towards research towards finding a treatment and cure for
Polycystic Kidney Disease.
This research is happening right here in Victoria at the Monash University Renal regeneraton lab and all over the world.
