Well, drackan posted this meme in honor of Superman's birthday on February 29th, and I decided to go ahead and fill out at as well.

1. What is your first memory involving Superman?
I know it isn't the first time I saw Superman - since I was taken to an airing of the Christopher Reeve "Superman: The Motion Picture" as an infant. And I practically grew up in a comic book store. But my first clear memory of Superman is watching reruns of the George Reeve series on a short-lived TV station here in Columbus.

2. What was the first Superman comic book you read?
It was a special book to go along with Superman II. It was presented largely as a series of articles from the Daily Planet. I loved that book.

3. What is your FAVORITE Superman story, whether it be comic, movie, TV series or cartoon?
"What's So Funny About Truth and Justice?" Wherein Superman faces down the Elite, showing why the values that the character stands for are still relevant in the new millennium.

4. When you think of Superman, which artist’s take on him do you normally see in your head? Shuster? Boring? Plastino? Swan? Adams? Byrne? Jurgens?
Byrne. John Byrne's reboot of Superman redefined an icon, and that has always been my way of seeing the character.

5. Which of the actors who have played Superman did you like the best as Superman?
Christopher Reeves will always be my Superman. Tom Welling is a great young Clark. And I had the biggest crush on Dean Cain (and Terri Hatcher). And Brandon Routh was a good replacement for Christopher Reeves. But it was obvious that Routh was trying to channel Reeves, which he did well enough, but it wasn't a new take on the character.
