randomly recalled top ten movie moments, as per
zagzagael , with handy links to IMDB just in case our pop cultural education is too different
- 2010: The silent black monoliths proliferating around Jupiter until it implodes, while one of the fleeing astronauts is shrieking, "It's shrinking! It's shrinking!"
- Tenshi no Tamago: The shadows of the ghostly coelacanths drifting past on the facades of the gray dead city. I was obsessed with this fish as a child, so I then became rather obsessed with this film as a teen.
- Bite the Bullet: Gene Hackman as Sam Clayton in the sand dunes riding down and whipping the cocky kid Carbo as he stands over the horse he rode to death in a cross-country race for a cash prize. Absolutely the best western film of the 70s.

- Blade Runner: Roy Batty's last words, with the dove flying away and everything. *sniff* (shared with zag)
- Hardware: Carl McCoy walking out of the radioactive desert sandstorm with the head of the robot soldier.
