Anybody Got Change For A Quarter?
It boggles my mind that it's already October. It literally feels like we just got done with School, and Summer has started. But it's not. Honestly though; Fall is my favorite time of the year. It's not too cold and not too hot. I love it.
I'm just going to talk about some random things, since I haven't updated in like two weeks.
-Went to the Metro Pro Wrestling show last Friday in Dearborn. I thought it was a decent show, not one of their best, but still entertaining. I just wish the shows around here would draw better. I mean, I remember the days promotions around here would draw 200-300 a show, and now they can't even hit 100. It's sad, to be honest. And on top of that... you got two promoters wanting to beat the hell out of each other, which just makes everything worse. I hope to god the ROH show next month gives the Michigan independent wrestling scene a "kick in the ass" that it needs. Because, if it doesn't, it's going to get even worse than it already is around here. Oh, and by the way... thanks for the DJ Quik CD Platinum you gave me at the Metro Pro show. If anyone hasn't heard DJ Quik before, go out and buy his CD, entitled "Trauma". REALLY good stuff, and I think he's got me hooked now.
-Another reason I love fall: Baseball. This is the kind of stuff I love. Boston vs. New York are dead locked, you got Philadelphia only a game back of Houston (insert a pop from Dod here), and the playoffs are about to begin. I love it. Oh, and for the record... go New York!
-The Lions are, well, the Lions. After winning their first game pretty easily, they fall flat on their face in Chicago against the BEARS. They play Tampa tomorrow, and if they don't at least make a game of it... it's going to be just another Lions losing season.
-I've decided to sign up for a YMCA High School Basketball league this fall. I'm hoping to get a full team together from School, and have my Dad coach. This will definitely give me some work before our actual High School season begins in November. I just hope everything falls into place.
-For anyone who cares, I won ANOTHER movie ticket searching with Blingo. I've won 2 now, but have yet to use either one. I think I'm going to save them for a little while. I just hope the next time I win, the prize is something else. If any of you are interested in signing up, let me know, and I'll provide you with my friends link.
-As for School, it's going well. My parents had conferences a couple days ago, and I got nothing but praise from my teachers. All A's and B's too. I just want a GPA higher than 3.5 for the first sememster. That'll be awesome since I'm taking 3 "advance" classes.
-I've been "analyzing" my website the past few weeks, and I've come to the conclusion that it looks too "childish." Anybody have any ideas or suggestions to make it look a bit more "professional", so to speak?
OK, I guess that's about it for now. Today will just be a relaxing day spent at home watching UofM vs. MSU (go blue!), Yankees vs. Red Sox, and other games. It's October... so gear up for Baseball, baby!
