And once again, as my weekly pleasure to share these images, I have more for you. I hope you enjoy this batch for the week as much as I did.
What perfect symmetry on a subject so temperamental such as the human body.
This reminds me of something I read in The Alchemist. It goes,
"My heart is a traitor," the boy said to the alchemist, when they paused to rest the horses. "It doesn't want me to go on."
"That makes sense," the alchemist answered. "Naturally it's afraid that, in pursuing your dream, you might lose everything you've won."
"Well, then, why should I listen to my heart?"
"Because you will never be able to keep it quiet. Even if you pretend not to have heard what it tells you, it will always be there inside you, repeating to you what you're thinking about life and the world."
"You mean I should listen, even if it's treasonous?"
"Treason is a blow that comes unexpectedly. If you know your heart well, it will never be able to do that to you. Because you'll know its dreams and wishes, and will know how to deal with them.
"You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it's better to listen to what it has to say. That way, you'll never have to fear an unanticipated blow."
Beautiful, isn't it?
What better photos to see vintage than actual true vintage!
Let's all wear mismatched socks and drink soups with forks one day.
Robert Pattinson is GORGEOUS.
Sometimes the sharpest part about life is the blur that goes on behind our minds.
Don't we all?
Let me explain the dogs above.
When I first saw them, I thought that these were pictures of abused dogs. I thought it was absolutely cruel and I was preparing what I was going to say to the poster of this set of photos. They looked mangled and horrible.
Then I realised what the title of this set was. It read "UPSIDE DOWN DOGS".
And it all makes sense.
Behind the little giggles I have now when I see this set, it teaches you a lesson: The mind makes you see what you want to believe in.
What a charming bloke!
I wonder if you got the pun.
Do you see an abstractized peach? A pop-art-version of a woman's lips? Or a woman's behind?
A heart? A pair of wings?
Once again, cute.
No breaking out into Beyonce numbers please.
The ugly duckling became a beautiful swan, only to find that the world needed a miracle like his.
Oh yes. I'm sure the ISO helped too.
I swear, some of these are better than what Demarchelier or Testino could do.
More Simon Nessman :)))))))))))))))))
This guy does the most amazing photos. The funniest part is that they were taken like that. No photoshopping or touchups. Just raw film on its own with a special technique I can't call to mind. Check his site out at stuckincustoms@flickr
A Vogue cover back in the days. I imagine Miss Wintour to be wincing at this.
James McAvoy. I'd SO do him ANYDAY. He's the epitomy of my kind of gorgeous. One part charm, one part brooding, all round sexy.
That's for you to answer.
Someone needs out, srsly.
