If any one of those statements is untrue please let me know and I will edit them out of the letter to Bush. Only now, over a week later, are NG troops being recalled in substantial numbers to aid in the relief effort for Hurricane Katrina.
You can't undermine a war effort that cannot ever hope to defeat the enemy, because the enemy is an idea, not a people or race that can be located and exterminated. Our troops are a very important resource, and they are currently being wasted in a country that doesn't deserve our effort or time...a country that was not ready for democracy because they did not fight for it themselves, nor did they ASK for us to help them in any way. We've been there three years and our progress has been limited at best
Losing elections has very little to do with the fact that Bush was the devil people knew as opposed to Kerry, who was the devil we didn't know. Bush is one of the few Republicans that doesn't have a clue, as opposed to someone like McCain (who would have been a much better president, IMO), but like ALL politicians, his attention can be distracted once someone tells him "there's more money over there."
For the record - *I* did not make this letter up, nor did I post it originally. If you cannot come up with intelligent conversation to defend this president then please keep the flames off my journal. Name-calling is nothing short of infantile, and I won't have it here.
PS - Alex, if this IS you, then I think this letter must have gotten you pretty riled up to reply here. Maybe, just maybe, some of it is true, if not all of it?
