Major Milestone #2: I've sold my car. Effective mid-next week. I'll always have the memories.

It starts to feel more and more real.

Cross-country Volkswagen dreams are now on hold indefinitely. Next target: Iceland

I've got the same target as you, Iceland, that is.
Ideally I've had the dream to stay there an extended period of time.
my example has been.. when I reach thirty I would like to stay there a year and photograph and put a book of images together and publish it.

I'd love to do that. it's a beautiful place, from what I've seen.

Are you a Sigur Ros fan? They have an incredible DVD of them playing in random places around the Icelandic plains and mountains. really breathtaking.

I am. and I've been meaning to get it/see it
they are one of the reasons. and just every photo I've seen makes me melt.

That DVD made me want to visit iceland even more than I did before. just, wow.

and Iceland has such an amazing history. and flights aren't that expensive from NYC! so i'm really hoping to be able to visit there next year. and rent a car and drive around to some really obscure places and the glaciers etc.
