Abortion

Another poignant thought to consider is this: The same people that demand that we ban abortion nationally also are anti services to poor people. You will note when looking at statistics that most women who get an abortion are poor, single women. They typically do not have a lot of education or a lot of opportunities.

Thank you. This is a beautifully made point, and all too unfortunately true.

I really appreciate and agree with most of what you have to say here, but I disagree on some things. I know people affiliated with Bound4Life and they have had salvations and have helped many people. They quietly pray outside the clinics and offer hope to women that have been walking in the clinic not knowing there was any hope or any other route they could take. If they would not have been there, these women would have not known and would not have received Jesus. And I also know that a lot of these same people reach out to the poor and rejected in our society and other societies as well. I know there are some groups that have really gone nutty with the picketing thing and really, what's that doing in the name of love? I think also that if God tells a person to do something, it doesn't really matter what any of us truly think more than them being obedient to His call. There is always a different side to every story, I suppose ( ... )

Where in the bible does it say that we're only under the law of the holy spirit? I remember reading somewhere in Revelations where Jesus said something about hold up both covenants (the old and new).
