Most people are sheep....and they never even know it. I wonder if I am:)
But yeah really, most people are complete ignorant of enourmous volumes of information...yet they are immensely opinionated about everything....and offended that you disagree...even if you know a lot more material. I think something else that bothers me is that people that I grew up around or people that are family members get offended because I believe different things now than I was taught growing up...and that I have distinctly different values, opinions, and definately polotics. And in some of those issues my values are different becuase I followed my beliefs to a stronger conclusion.
For instance...if the main concern is to be more like Christ...then it would be my assumption that I should be more accepting, more loving, more kind, more giving, and more generous. Wheras to be more conservative I need to be more cold, more closed off, have more rules and boundaries, and etc....So the issue is...at some levels to be conservative and to be Christ like are opposing ideas.
