Mother's Day report

May 15, 2007 04:47

On Saturday (5/12), my brother and I took Mom out for dinner. We tried going to Matt's for some Jucy Lucys (really good burgers with cheese inside 'em), but we didn't get there early enough, so it was too crowded. So we gave up and went to Pepito's instead. I had a spicy pork quesadilla, and Mom and my brother each had a "one taco and one enchillada" combo. We ate and talked, and we finished off dinner with some fried ice cream.

Afterward, we went back to Mom's place. My brother moved Mom's cable box from the bedroom to the living room (Mom's living room has a better air conditioner than her bedroom), and I got Mom's fairly-new weather radio to quit showing an error message (by unplugging it and pulling the batteries, then putting the batteries back in and plugging it back in). We said our see-you-laters, and I headed home. (I'm not sure where my brother went, though.)

Overall, we had a good evening. I took one picture, too, but I've still got lots of earlier pics to crop and resize before I get to that one.
