(no subject)
Yesterday was pretty hardcore for me. I can take it, though.
I worked in the morning, had my instrumental families for brass and percussion @ 9, Music in World Culture @ 10:30 until noon. Symphonic Band was good. I like it. But, of course, there's plenty of people who are there with a bad attitude about the music we're playing and stuff. We do need trumpets and clarinets though.
Then after band was Ear Training which is gonna be fine if I practice like I did @ the end of last semester. Good stuff; it may not be easy @ times, but it'll be good.
Finally, I had an hour break. I went to Quality Time and then to banned.
31 rookies!!!! They were begging to get spanked. There were quite a few who played flute and who didn't know how to play anything. There were a lot of people in our little garage-of-a-banned-room. We played some good tunes for a while, had ANNOUNCEMENTS, then got into a block of bandas, and marched. We even jammed on "Beginnings" and "Louie, Louie" after rehearsal was over. It was a lot for the first day, but we do need the practice for this weekend......FT. BRAGG!!!
I can't believe it, but it is only the beginning.
