Its starting to look like my parents will actually "follow" me to California. This is a big deal because my dad is really resistant to change. My mom on the other hand really needs change, and living in the same place for 20+ years does fit her style. This difference has been the only consistent strain on their marriage (they would never actually leave each other, but its a strain). Yesterday my dad said some stuff to show that he is will and ready to move. For example, in April we are going out to Harvey Mudd for the accepted students program and my dad said that while we are out there we can look for a place for my parents to live (in actuality there is ~0% chance of getting a place at this time, but it will give some ideas). I am excited because I would like to have my parents in CA. I don't want to live really close to them, but I wouldn't like living opposite coasts. Also I think moving to CA will create an escape and fresh start that my mom needs.
I can't wait to goto to CA in April cuz it will make college seem that much closer. I am really glad that I took this year off, but I can't wait til college........
I know that I used this song in my last post, but I'm re-using it cuz I like it that much and I deleted that entry.
STRAYLIGHT RUN - "Existentialism On Prom Night"
When the sun came up,
We we're sleeping in,
Sunk inside our blankets,
Sprawled across the bed,
And we we're dreaming,
There are moments when,
When I know it and
The world revolves around us,
And we're keeping it,
Keeping it all going,
This delicate balance,
Vulnerable all knowing,
Sing like you think no one's listening,
You would kill for this,
Just a little bit,
Just a little bit,
You would, kill for this
Sing like you think no one's listening,
You would kill for this,
Just a little bit,
Just a little bit,
You would, you would...
Sing me something soft,
Sad and delicate,
Or loud and out of key,
Sing me anything,
we're glad for what we've got,
Done with what we've lost
Our whole lives laid out right in front of us,
Sing like you think no one's listening,
You would kill for this,
Just a little bit,
Just a little bit,
You would,
Sing like you think no one's listening,
You would kill for this,
Just a little bit,
Just a little bit,
You would, you would....
Sing me something soft,
Sad and delicate,
Or loud and out of key,
Sing me anything."
