Starsky and Hutch
Went out to see "Starsky and Hutch" last night. Overall, I think I would have rather have seen Return of the King again.
Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson play... well, pretty much the same guy they play in every movie they're in. It's a bit funny but not nearly as funny as I hoped. The rest of the acting in this film, for the most part, is awful. Snoop Dog can't act. He has one facial expression and it doesn't change through the entire movie. Also, he projects that feeling of "I know I'm in front of a camera and I'm trying to act" which just makes the audience uncomfortable.
The movie was clearly a guy movie. I don't usually rail against movies for sexism (I'm usually better at avoiding seeing movies I won't like), but the fact that the ONLY purpose for any woman in that movie was to look hot was grating. And then the two hot chicks make out with each other and a guy scene was a little much for me.
