Yeah, so I'm tired of school, and just tired in general. It's cold. -9C, -15F, and fairly windy. I didn't bother putting plastic over the windows this year because we are moving Thursday, so now I have an old comforter hanging over the drapes. Erin's in bed, and I have eleven hours to finish, print, and turn in this research paper that I've been writing for more than ten days.
I was looking at the stuff I have left to do for the semester, and realized this morning that I had two in-class finals that I can do nothing about next week. Not a problem, and kind of expected. I also have a take-home final that has three parts, one of which could be anywhere from 10-30 pages long, depending on how much depth I put into it. The other two parts will be about 5 pages each. Ok, that's not due until the end of next week, I can work on it then. My research paper is very late at this point, and I had four other (well, five, but I'll get to that) papers that were due either Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. This morning, before my first class, I managed to get one of the papers done. Three more. I come back after lunch and get two more done. I go to that professor to turn them in so I don't forget them tomorrow, and while there manage to BS my way through the fifth pseudo-paper that I had to do while talking to her in her office. Ok, that's one class completely done at this point, one other mostly done, just the large take-home final, and one-third of the papers for my other class. My fourth class doesn't count, since all I have there is an interview and the final next Wednesday. So I come home, and manage to get the fourth paper finished, so all I have is finishing the research paper. I have another 5.5 pages for the minimum length, and am against a major block. I have to turn it in tomorrow morning early, and will be turning the other two with it so I don't forget them. Not a problem, as far as turning them in, just a matter of figuring out what I'm trying to say and say it.
Which brings me to my big problem. I had an incomplete in a class this summer because I basically just didn't do anything. I have to have the incomplete done by Friday morning. It's about 40 pages of translation work. I have 0 pages done. I have to get this paper done in the next few hours, which is entirely possible, so I can get up in the morning and turn it in. After that, and for the rest of the day Tuesday and Thursday, I have to work on translating these reports, and at some point on Tuesday conduct my interview, which means getting all of my questions in order and ready to go tonight and in the morning, after I'm done with the research paper. I can push the interview back to Wednesday if I have to, which I might need to, but Wednesday is going to be bad for me, as I'm doing some major moving stuff that evening. See my dilemma? I have a feeling I'm not going to sleep much in the next couple of days, and that some of my translations are going to reflect that.
First things first, though. Time to pull the remainder of this paper from my ass.
