OK, it's hot here. Not just a little hot, but something around 95 degrees Fahrenheit hot. We're talking HOT.
And I've been unmotivated, consequently, to do my PTA work. Blech. I have LOTS to do, damn it.
My poor son is off at music camp, and it's the same temp up there as here, so I bet he's sweltering. I feel bad for him. AND I miss him. I guess I'm really co-dependent, because I don't like that he's not here. What's life going to be like when the kids both go off to college??? :-o
I'm in the midst of a toy poodle saga, trying to weigh whether a great breeder is worth another $1000 for a dog we can't easily meet because he's in Southern California. We've met a puppy up here who seems sweet, but the breeder seems a little scary (dirty, unsure of ancestry, etc.). The price, however, is much better with the scary breeder. What to do?
My daughter and I went shopping and each got two new Swatch watches:
I got the Pinky Pink:
http://store.swatch.com/watch/SFK200 and one with roses and crystals, and she got a white one:
http://store.swatch.com/watch/SFK242 and one with blue glitter. All very fun. :)
I also got a dragon watch for my son. Watches are excellent summer fashion accessories!
I've been reading the Laura Anne Gilman Wren and Sergei series - Staying Dead and Curse the Dark - in preparation for the new one, due out July 1 or so. There are several new books due out in the next two weeks that I am looking forward to reading! It's been a long dry spell, so I'm glad. Right now I'm reading Kitty Goes to Washington, about a werewolf radio talk show host. It's a sequel to Kitty and the Midnight Hour, which I quite enjoyed.
Well, stay cool out there, folks! And anyone with dog and/or breeder advice, please chime in. :)
