Whoo hoo!
Hubby got a job today! Hooray!! :)
It's a little lower paying than the one he left before, but he's feeling very good about the position and the company so we'll make it work. It's such a relief to have him employed again! And he's very excited about this particular job! Yay!
We've been struggling to close a home equity line of credit, which, given that hubby's last job officially ended today, was really stressing me out by not closing. Right now we've got two different lenders that we're trying to get closed on the thing. But now, with the new job, there's no worries--I don't like to use the line anyway, I just want it for insurance, just in case we need it (like if we didn't find work before the cashflow went too far south....).
So, by Tuesday or Wednesday next week we should have signed on the dotted line for the line of credit, and hubby will have signed on the dotted line for the new job which will start May 1.
What a huge relief! And the wonderful thing is that we were paid through today (through more than a week from from today, even, if you count vacation and employee stock purchase refund) from his last job, even though he hasn't been working for several weeks. He's been home, available, while I've been dealing with my dad's death. It's been a total blessing and we feel very thankful indeed.
So, new job for him, new volunteer roles for me, finances rearranged and life, well, life is good.
