sparklehorse on friday night was odd.... but i did like the band a lot. i'm mastering the art of contact lenses. i came over all hot and i'm-gonna-die-ish towards the end. it was in an ex-church - sign on wall read something to the effect of 'this building was once a church, it is no longer a church, however, should one day it become a ruin it will be the ruin of a church' which i liked - so it was surrounded by a grave yard.... which was not ideal for my dead-things-o-phobic self, i kept on being overcome by sudden waves of 'argh i have to get out of here' counterbalanced by 'oooh but the music!' thoughts... georgie's much worshipped english teacher was there which i think made everyone (especially him) feel rather awkward.... but it was overallyly good. then we went to rob's-friend-dan-and-his-friend-dan's-flatmate's flat... which was odd too because something about it was so reminiscent of parties at my mum's friends' houses when i was five and six....

dawn parade were fabulous. cambridge is lacking in students due to holidays so it was upsettingly empty... however we adopted a new friend called alex and adopting ne wfriends is always a good idea. gregory has new hair and barnaby has a twin and benjamin is dying and nick is like nick. adn they were woooooooooooooooooooooooooonderfuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul cos they just tend to be that way. georgie and hannah and alex conspired and managed to give rob's-friend-dan's hat to greg.... hot june night as part of the setlist 8) but it was far too short.

anyhow, easyworld on thursday :D
