I can’t believe the first month of 2010 is already over!! My holidays were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better time with friends and family. Mark and I had a great time with mine and his family. His parent’s are so sweet and consider me one of the bunch already! After Christmas she wrote me this two page letter about how she was so glad to have me for the holidays! It was super sweet and I made it a point to write her back!
The house is doing good. We got a brand new hot water heat because the one we had when we moved in busted (thank yankee we got a one year warranty on all the appliances at closing!!). Otherwise we’re still doing little small improvements here and there. It’s becoming our hobby.
I’m starting to miss purdue hardcore! I haven’t been in months! A plan must be made! Besides I might just go so I can get a haircut and pedicure at a decent price and QUALITY! I swear there is NO WHERE in Indy to get a quality haircut for less than $50! There’s a great clips nearby that mark tried to go to and he ended up getting his hair cut by a gay guy wearing pink sweats tucked into purple Ugh boots. Now, the thought of this cracks me up and doesn’t frighten me in the least to go try it out, except for the fact that when Mark came home he looked like he got his hair cut by a chainsaw! Mark’s hair is nothing elaborate so I think this guy must have been purposely trying to do a bad job! *sigh* and they don’t wax eyebrows! (it is a huge pet peeve of mine to see women with unruly eyebrows) At least this gives me an excuse to travel to Purdue and get my hair “did” with my best buds. Hell, might as well get a pedicure while I’m at it (I don’t even want to get started on all the ghetto looking nail salons around here! ).
Life is still amazing. My bestest friend Sarah put it best, “it’s nice not to have anxiety about what’s going to happen next in your life, you’re done looking for the next best thing.” This couldn’t be more true. For once in my life when people ask me how I’m doing I don’t have 20 different problems to get off my chest!
Speaking of Sarah, she asked me to be her maid of honor at her wedding! I couldn’t feel more “honored”! I’m super super excited for her and am already planning an awesome bachelorette party! Hint: drag queens!
Also, speaking of wedding bells, Mark and I have had many conversations about what we want in a wedding and we’re not afraid of throwing the word around anymore. We want to have a small get together that isn’t serious and is tons of fun, but we also want something we don’t have to put any energy into either. We’re planning a trip to Vegas in May still so hmmmmmmmmmmmm…. j/k (kinda) I know my parents want to be there and would kill me if they missed me getting married, but then again, I make no promises when I’m drunk. ;)
