Just Breathe
Well here we go, another update. I interviewed for that job in a laboratory in Indy yesterday!!
The lady emailed me Friday morning asking if I would be available for an in person interview which I replied that yes I was and that I would be available as early as Monday if given enough advance notice. Well I didn’t hear back from her all day while I was work so I figured I would probably talk to her on Monday…. So after I hop in my car and drive all the way to Indy to meet Mark I decide to check my email before we go to bed just in case….
And of course she emailed me at 7pm asking if 3pm on Monday was alright!!! Here I am in Indy with no suit, shoes, portfolios, and such and I have an interview to go to on the following Monday!!! Therefore at 6:30am on a Saturday morning, Mark and I drove all the way to Peoria and back to grab my interview “stuff”. I can’t even describe my level of frustration!!! (granted I was very thankful to have been offered an interview)
I can’t remember ever being this nervous before in my life!! I went to the interview yesterday and it went very well. They asked for my references and told me they’d be in contact. My family and Mark think I got it but I’m holding my breath till I hear back from them (which could take a week or more!). I hate waiting for anything because I have the worst tolerance for patience ever!! I’m already assuming I didn’t get it because I haven’t heard from them… even though it’s only half way through the very next day and they are probably going to take the time to contact my references! This is so agonizing! The job seems amazing and I want it so bad!!! I want to move back to Indiana more than anything!!
So now I’ll I can do is wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr I’m going to go bald from ripping my hair out before they get back to me!
This sux sux sux… but hopefully next time I write it will be with good news. Wish me luck!!
