I come here every single day and check up on everyone.
Sometimes I comment and folks seem pleased to hear from me, but when it comes to posting, I never seem to have much to say.
That, or what I might say seems so trivial, I don't want to clutter up your LJs with meaningless prattle.
Been uber busy. Still taking care of the grandkids and my heart says I love every minute. My body and my mind don't always agree.
Alison is four and a half and is at the "why" stage. By the time her Mom or Dad pick her up, I just need a moment of silence.
Koy is 17 mos and a ball of fire. He and Ali are either loving each other or beating each other up pretty much all of the time.
Two weeks ago we drove to Dover, Delaware for a NASCAR race. We rented a camper and had a fine time. Unfortunately, it was one of the most boring races I've ever seen. Still, the camping was fun.
Tomorrow, we're driving to Portsmouth, Virginia to stay at our daughter's overnight. The next afternoon, we're going to see Billy Joel in Virginia Beach. "The Original Six" are going. That is going to be great. The Original Six are Jonesey and Me and our four children. No spouses, no grandkids. Sarah is hooking us up with a van and a driver to take us there and bring us back to her place in Portsmouth. Our kids are our bestest friends and it's been a long time since we could play together.
We're driving back on Sunday morning. Talk about a whirlwind trip. 18 hours on the road in one weekend is a bit much. There's good in it, though. I have a small part in Singin' In The Rain and it'll give me time to work on my lines without having to answer 25 "why" questions.
Readership of Goodbye, Mr. Giles has gone up dramatically now that I've gotten back to it. That's very rewarding. I've sent Chapter 38 ~ Peril to my betas, so it'll be along shortly. I can't believe how much I missed writing. There's good there too, though. I've had a whole slew of plot bunnies for some shorter pieces.
So, that's it for now.
