Goals: Revisited
3 months from my last post and I was amazed to look at it and see what I have achieved and what I have decided to give up on.
These were the goals I listed:
Goal: Rank 10 pvp armor, Rank 11 epic mount
Goal: [Orb of the Darkmoon]
Goal: Virtuous Set
Goal: Rep Rewards with Battlegrounds (AB & WSG)
It's funny how some of this stuff seemed soo far off from me. It's also funny how easy some of that stuff seemed.
Rank 10 pvp armor: Check. I did it, thanks to help from a pvp guild that I really like to roll with (and they seem to like me). Basically they helped me through the rank 9 grind by putting me close enough to 10 that I felt I could actually do it.
I went for rank 11 too. Got over 400k honor during thanksgiving week. I missed rank 11 by 3% this week and next week they are patching and the pvp system completely changes. I miss out on my mount. GG.
Orb of the Darkmoon: During a run, I got a necklace drop from Strat that had +15 stam and +15ish shadow damage. It doesn't have +healing, but I don't care. It serves a perfect purpose for pvp and really, with the xpac so close, I'm not gonna waste my time grinding for this necklace anymore.
Virtuous Set: It's clear when I wrote my previous post that I had only done the bracers part. The quests cost so much goddamn gold that I could've had an epic mount already rather than doing these upgrades. And I only got 3 pieces. The only piece I use sometimes is the belt. GG.
Rep Rewards with BGs: During my grind for rank 10, I finished these. I did my AB rep solo all the way up to 2000 away from exalted and the Marthas helped me get the rest one night. My WSG rep I owe all to them, with the exception of the one game it took for me to actually ding exalted. That game was pretty nifty.
Queued up at 630am before work, and when I got in, there was one rank 8 hordie, eight rank 9 hordies (myself included), and a rank 10 hordie. We steamrolled the alliance like we were a team on vent.
I'm happy I got rank 10 and the rep rewards, but I'm pretty pissed that I was so close to rank 11 and my mounts and they are taking it away.
I just bought the AV wolf and if the epic mount training is reduced in cost come the patch, like most have been speculating, then I'll already have enough to train it and I'll just use that one.
But FUCK, I wanted my kodo.
