Ghosts in the Machines

May 31, 2011 11:14

I think I have an anti-Midas touch when it comes to electronics. I have single-handedly crashed 2 of our household's computers in the last week. First, my beloved Mac G5 (circa 2002) wouldn't start and gave me what I later discovered was a "3 LED blinks of death" diagnostic. According to archived help forums, the logic board's solder points have disconnected from the RAM ports, or some such nonsense. Now the problem is convincing my husband that my former work computer (I worked as a freelance graphic designer before the kids), which I now use solely for the purpose of CRAFTING, really does need repair.

So I was using my daughter's school PC and managed to get a virus that dessimated the hard drive. I did that within about 2 days of use. Yeee-yah!

So, no photo posting for me for awhile (don't know how if it's not a Mac), but I'm holding my husband's laptop hostage so I can at least keep up with PoD, HPC, and Flickr. You know, all the important stuff.

On a brighter note, here's Amani, my 3-year-old's, joke of the day:

How do you get a popsicle to stop crying?
Put some buttons on him.
