It's been a month since the last time I posted oh gawd.
So I've been collecting the setlists since the beginning of this tour and figured now is a good time to post the first batch, since it's the end of the first part of the tour.
ALL VAMPS TOUR SETLISTS ARE HERE (@
setlist.fm)
They're gathered from several fan blogs, so not ~official~ setlists. But each of them is crosschecked from at least 2 different sources so it should be 99% correct. (However if there's something wrong it's in the song order, not their names.)
The first and the last setlist just because comparing things is fun.
I just found this site recently, and I love the idea. It's fairly new, so lot of stuff is still 'work in progress' (I hope). But especially I like the
TOUR STATISTICS page:
Total number of shows is 30, so count there which songs were played every single time 8D
★ Random notes on some songs, in random order:
BITE : It's a show opener (in every show I assume), but I didn't feel the need to include it in the setlists. Because it's an intro which is there by default, not a song.
GLAMOROUS SKY & EVERGEEN : They've been playing both English & Japanese versions, but it's really difficult to find out which one was on which day, because not everyone makes a note of it. But I'd say the Japanese version got most plays anyway.
JESUS CHRIST : It's so powerful live, why oh why they played it only once? If you heard that consider yourself lucky. ;D
IT'S SAD : What makes this so special they gotta play it in every single show? It's a nice song and there's a ~message~ and so on, but that (well any) song loses it epicness if it gets overplayed.
VAMPIRE DEPRESSION : For the first 18 concerts, they never played this. It was WEIRD and I can't understand why, but I was so glad when they finally did. And they played it in every show from that day on.
SATSUGAI : I really hope they're gonna play this more in the future... they played it once, at the last Sendai live, and that's all. It's so wild, I heard it twice on last tour but never knew what the hell of a cool shoutfest that thing was, until much later. (I love the shouting and screaming in case you couldn't tell <3)
SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL : They played this as the ending song once, the day before Zepp Tokyo final. I was hoping they had finally switched the last song, but... nah, the next day MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION was back. Don't get me wrong, that's an awesome ending song because it's so chaotic, leaves everyone exhausted and wanting for more - but they have already used it as the main show ender on 2 previous tours. Things need to change, they can't keep repeating the same pattern over and over again, it will get old. Besides they already have this fresh new song that works wonders, which they admitted was meant to be the replacement for MIDNIGHT, so I don't get why they are not using it then.
Ending song poll:
29 x MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION
1 x SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL
Yeah that says it all :/ But at least for the opening song there's been more variety:
Opening song poll:
19 x LOVE ADDICT
8 x SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL
2 x MADE IN HEAVEN
1 x JESUS CHRIST
No I'm not whining did I sound like it? It's easy to be picky when I wasn't there. 8D I'd just like to see a little bit more different songs there. I mean occasionally dropping some rarely played songs among those new VAMPS songs. Instead of rotating over and over the same few songs that have been played since Faith tour or something, y'know.
Thanks to following fan blogs:
Hydee's Room,
瞬間美學,
Un ciel bleu,
LIFE is LIVE,
Metropolis of android, and lots of others that I forgot to save.
I'm working on 2008 tour setlists too 8) it's just major pain in the ass to find those after so much time... currently I only have the concerts I personally attended, the DVD obviously, plus the first few shows. I stopped saving/looking for setlists when I decided to go there myself, and they never published them, so... meh. And yes I'm going again to see them at the arenas, as I've probably already mentioned everywhere else except in my own journal. I'm crazy excited.
