Izu - Winery Hill - Second Day

Jan 08, 2015 16:06

I had a hard time sleeping at the hotel and was awake on and off from around four.  I finally decided to get up at six and go take ... you guessed it! another bath :)  This time, I used the sauna as well.

When I got back, most of the family were up.  We got dressed, picked up the older folks and went down for breakfast.  They had both Japanese and western style breakfasts - ham, bacon, wieners, scrambled egg, bread/toast and cereal as well as rice, miso soup, fish and other rice toppings.  I had some wonderful croissant with wieners and coffee.

The weather was dark and cloudy as the forecast had said (and the moon also told us).  We had a hard time deciding what to do, but as we went down to the oceanside, it started to really pour so we decided to go to the deep sea museum.  It seems that the sea in that area is the deepest in Japan.  The museum introduced fish living in the deep sea of the area.  It was very good and we enjoyed ourselves very much.  I took lots of pictures and videos and depleted my camera battery quite a bit.

After that we had some lunch and were on our way home.

Here are some pictures and gifs :D
