Today
Well, it has been exciting since my last entries. I recently got approved for a best buy card...So I decided to invest in a big screen tv. I got an excellent deal (working at Best Buy has its rewards) so I picked up a 46in Sony widescreen. A 46 in a actually considered a small TV in the arena of big screens. I was totally amazed at how BIG it actually turned out to be in my place. I had to be a complete meany to the service people since my convergance was off a bit..(Im a bit picky really) and the first tech that came out...didn't have a clue how to do the convergence..
Anyway, I'm looking at my career path now...It's funny when I got the job at Best Buy I only set a goal to be a senior within a year....It actually took about a year and half to acomplish warping time in space in a retail environment was a bit more challenging than warping normal existence. (interesting isnt it) Then next think I know I'm the supervisor of the computer department. This is arguable from a best buy perspective the single most important sup position in the store next to home theater.
So now, I'm being asked to decide where I want to go next...I really have no idea....I know honestly my short term goals are more centered around increasing my income....I've never really thought about going much further in the company than I am now. There are only a couple of options for me.. I think I would like to be a computer sup and go(grand open) a store. I go'ed this store as a regular sales person. I think it would be awesome to do it again as a sup. I do know I wont be moving anywhere until after the holidays. Its still too close to the holiday season to be put into a new position. (odd to be saying to close to the holidays but back to school starts in 2 weeks, than its right into thankgiving and xmas)
I do know this year is going to be a HUGE holiday season at least in this area...
