Milk
Finally -- the movie Milk opened up here Friday night. I hate the fact that we get some movies MONTHS after everyone else -- it's like I'm in another country sometimes!! "If it plays in Peoria" my ass!!
I went Friday night with slavetoreznor and teledude. Carl didn't think eating and seeing the movie would be possible before he had to work, so I unfortunately had to go without him; a shame, as it was fantastic film and the bitch knows next to nothing about gay history. :: laugh :: I was VERY impressed with the film -- it was very moving; I admit crying at the end. Some VERY impressively composed scenes, and great performances by both Sean Penn and James Brolin (the latter you almost -- almost! -- feel sorry for).
Of course, who's going to go see Milk in Peoria? Why, Peoria's gays of course! Oh, and their hags. :: laugh :: There was an adorable bearish fella sitting behind us that, apparently, knows Jamie's boyfriend. Damn it, why does Jamie's boyfriend know all the hot bears?? :: laugh ::
