Yay for what is, right now, my favourite selected song for this year's Eurovision Song Contest -- Turkey this year will be represented by a rock band named Mor ve Ötesi, and they will sing "Deli"-- "Iinsane". I swear it sounds like the last thing she says when she introduces them is "we're not the victors, we're losers".

Also, their singer looks a lot like the Hispanic gentleman that live across the street from my bar.

At last, the diaspora vote will actually be used for good, not evil! (sorry, but I thought “Shake It Up Şekerim” SUCKED!) I don’t know if it will get many beyond that, but seeing as it’s the first actual song to stand out in any way, one can certainly hope so. Ankara in 2009? (It’s looking more and more like the unfunny joke songs are going to split the vote, particularly if Ireland goes for the puppet.)

I hope this band gets noticed... Sadly, without an English Language Version of the Lyrics of this song, it won't get that much airplay on internet radio. This is something that would interest people in visiting a foreign country, culture for that matter.
