That's a nasty one - I can see Anya getting her Vengeance back on to fix that one.

At this point in her timeline, Anya had come to terms with her powers being gone; it would be years yet (in canon) before she voluntarily relinquished them. For the present, then, she would be operating from a standpoint of if I could, then I would, but I can’t, so what instead?

On the other hand, she does seem to have been accepted by the others in ways she never quite managed when it was her-and-Xander …
