Staying up with friends
So I stayed up late with a friend online tonight. Not especially late for me, there was nothing particularly special about it as such. But it's just nice to do, and the dynamic of the conversation sort of felt like a sleepover. You know, like when you were a kid. It was very relaxing, and soothing to the soul. I think what made this unique is that they asked if it would be alright if I could text back and forth with them til they fell asleep. I guess that's what gave it that sleepover feel.
You remember, sleeping in a tent, or one (or three or four of you) on the floor in their room or the living room or whatever, just asking questions and laughing and just talking and junk, with lots of yawns and words fading into pleasant mumbles...
I miss that. It was very nice to feel that way again.
