Just got in. Pretty cool spring break so far, it's quite unfortunate that it's coming to an end. I'll continue from where I left off last time. MY bf's house was great. His friend actually picked me up early and drove me to Gene's, so we could surprise him. Unfortunately, he was already up, getting ready for his 4 mile morning jog uphill- How he does that, I have no idea! = \ It was great to finally hang out alone for the first time in a couples of weeks- I definetly missed the feeling. We got a bit closer thoughtout the dad, spoke a lot about a few interesting and deeper things than usual. It was nice = ]... Not to mention he showed me some cool exciercises for my abs, and I finally saw Shrek 2. HE finally met my dad at night, but my father was in a bad mood, so they didn't really get a chance to speak much or get a feel for each other's personalities. I'm positive my dad will like him however. They share the same "you create your own reality" philosophies and are into health, nutrition and so on. PLus, Gene's a genius... comes from a backgroud of physists and doctors, speaks russian, and is quite the people's person.
ON Wednesday, I went to Stonybrook University to check it out. I actually found my own way there, even though it took 3 hours and didn't get lost. Campus is BEAUTIFULLLLLL. I loved it. It's like an upscale upstate 1000+ acre resort, with clubs, bars, restuarants all included! I actrually attended a chemistry class, and understood the information more than my friends in the actual class because of the great physics teacher I had last year. Understanding really gave me a lot of confidence and more of a desire to learn. Not only did I attend class but my friends gave me a great tour of the place, campus, dprms resuarants, and met my mom when she actually surprised me by showing up. She let me know later at night that she knew I'd love it, so before she met me, she paid and enrolled me into the University. Thank you mom... and I thought you would never actually let me go away to college, or you would after a lot of kicking and screaming. She really liked my friends, and trusts me know, even though they told her about the drinking and partying. They however are very driven, educated and determined individuals for whom partying isn't a priority.. but Education is definetly #1. Soooo random burst of excitement now because I'm reminding myself about attending the university in only about 4 months!
Anyhow, the next day we went roller blading in central park. It was pretty cool, I did about 10 or so miles in total, but then I stopped a nice tumble. I had to swirve away from a kid running towards me taking up most of the nice running/biking/rollar blading path. Unluckily, I swirved onto the car road which is filled with twigs and cracks, rode over a twig, one of my feet lost balanced and I tumbled... fell onto my stomach and then fell back over on my back then my side. My right palm had some nasty gravel stuck in it, it took a while to pull it out. MY stomach was scraped a bit (because I rode in a bikini top). Luckily my jeans didnt rip, but I have a hugeeeee bruise on my right knee. Not too bloody, but it's big yellow, purble, blue red... you get the picture. After my nice little fall, I rode another mile or two, then the pain started kicking in, so I sat for a bit, Gene helped wash my wounds out, and he skated while I jogged most of the way (20 or so city blocks) back to pick up our stuff. It was an interesting day, we met up with a friend of ours in SOHO afterward, went to eat, then to see Kung Fu Hussle. It was a HELL of a lot better than I expected to be. I defiently recommend for people to go see it. It has a GREAT plot and is VERYYY funny, commercials don't do it justice.
Today I woke up around 4pm in a shitty mood, so I went over my dad's house, for him to cheer me up and pick up a little bit of money. Instead, I ended up working out for an hour- he definetly helped me having an amazing uplifting, confidence-boosting worjout. I realized I'm a hell of a lot stronger than I give myself credit for and recieved my bit of money. I barely see my dad, but during my workout my dad and I bonded a lot, we had some very interesting conversations about my future, my enrollment into Stonybrook, sex, Gene, my mom, my brother and his relationship. I felt very confident and quite jolly afterward. I can't wait to go work out again. My butt's so sore right now, along with my inner thighs, back and shoulders... I'm also pretty sure my abs will hurt in the morning. O at night I went to see The HitchhikersGuide to the Galaxy or w/e... I didn't eat today, and burnt a lot of calories, so most of the movie was spent thinking about food and when the movie would end. It had a bunch of funny parts, though it didn't have too great of a point. The movie was based on a book, but wow, whoever wrote the book had to have QUITE the imagination, just like the person on acid who wrote Alice in Wonderland.
Well time to shower and bed for me. It's allergy season, my eyes are itching like crazy.. I hope it goes away by tomorrow. Two days of them killing me is enough. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
