mermaids!
Rachel beat me to the punch by posting her pics from the Mermaid Parade, but I figured I'd do my own little rundown, too! It was SO much fun! I'm just completely amazed by what people do with their creativity. I mean, even my dinky little costume took several hours, so some of those more ornates ones must have taken months. Very cool.

I definitely want to do this again next year! The only bad part (besides the 2-hour wait for a sausage-and-peppers sandwich after the parade, which ended up being so ridiculous it was funny anyway) was that I missed two spots when I was applying sunscreen...the very top of my head and the area right around my pasties. I have a very clear outline of a scallop shell over each of my boobies. Lovely.
