OK, it's time I reported back. I saw the Doctor, and a very impressive doctor he was. So - if stress is a key component of your recent difficulties, are you considering any form of stress reduction such as yoga, mneditation, etc?

I guess my first thought has been to reduce the cause of ther stress, the workload itself. But you are right of course, meditation and exercise would both be helpful. I meditated (and exercised!) for many years but for some reason have been having trouble returning to it again.

Reducing the root cause is not always practical, sadly enough.
