take me as I am! take my life!

* A nice leisurely walk to Blockbuster with the boyfriend. Sadly, we've exhausted their horror selection, and settled with "Silent Night, Deadly Night." After a lame ass montage set to some song that could have come off the Saved by the Bell soundtrack , I fell asleep. Crème de la crap.

* Saw "Corpse Bride" two weeks ago with Ryan, Eva, Josh, and Glenn. All of our thumbs were very undecided. I mean, there was a Tom Waitsy number in there that I enjoyed far more than anything out of "Nightmare Before Christmas," but still, I just wasn't all that invested in the love story. I mean, in the end, you didn't know who to root for. There wasn't enough of Richard Grant either. I'd of liked that.

* Breanne phoned me at 6AM Friday morning, asking if she could "spend the night." Later she tells me she locked Arog out of his apartment before she came over.

* Saturday morning was spent scrub n' bubbling my house. Still, there was some kind of rank smell permeating around the kitchen area that I just couldn't track down. It really did smell of corpses. So, I apologize to the company I had over from Friday to Saturday night.

* Spent Saturday with Russ practicing. Later that night we had an argument about tastes and opinions. I'll leave the details out, but good times were had.

* We later met Cathy for birthday fun. We ended up going to BYOB karaoke on Bowery. I started the night off with Kate's "Running Up That Hill," which prompted Elizabeth to admit that she no longer hated Ms.Bush. I forgot to ask her when she had this total about-face, but I just wanted to relish in it. Ha! It may take years, but you all will come around.

The set list:
"Running Up That Hill" - me, and Josh for the verses
"Leader of the Pack" - Cathy, Breanne
"Old Time Rock & Roll" - Breanne
"(Everything I Do) I Do it for You" - me (the whole crowd, with the exception of Josh who spent the whole 4 minutes rolling his eyes)
"Jolene" - me, and Cathy
"Precious Things" - Breanne, Cathy, Josh, me
"Toxic" - Cathy, me
"Magic Man" - Cathy, Josh
"Sugar, Sugar" - Breanne, Cathy
"Substitute" - Breanne, Cathy
"Caribbean Queen" - me
Ten seconds of "One Line" by PJ Harvey, before deciding this totally isn't karaoke material - me
"Rock Lobster" - Cathy, me
"Adios" - me... well, not really. It took two bars before I realized this was not the Linda Ronstadt version.
"Killing Moon" - Josh
"Time of the Season" - Cathy, Josh

That's about all I can remember off the top of my head.

Surprisingly, I did nothing by Elton John, John Lennon, Phil Collins, Spice Girls, George Michael, Prince, or Don Henley. A very first! I didn't even have the choice of Stevie Nicks or ABBA, for whatever reason, they weren't on the list.

Jess and Elizabeth win the wet blanket award.

The jerks in the next room were singing songs from Franz Ferdinand, the Killers, and Interpol. It was kind of yucky.

* Later, Elizabeth wanted to meet up with the latest suitor at the Look party in Chinatown. Coincidentally, that's where Ryan, Eva, Michelle, Glenn, and the rest were. Cathy and Jess went home, and the four of us hopped in a cab and headed south.
