I passed by Lake Braddock this morning and couldn't believe what I saw. They are actually making the prison we called high school into something that sort of resembles a high school! Though, ten years too late.
Everything in Fairfax gets a makeover every two years. Streets get wider and wider. Housing developments grow vaster and vaster. Traffic gets worser and worster. Yes, it's no wonder I don't really "miss" it. I just get terribly sentimental about old friends and experiences. No matter how many times that place gets a face lift, it perpetually has the same sort of "feel."
I will enjoy these few days here, much like I enjoyed this weekend.
