Wow, that was... probably the single most successful mission I've ever been on. Unit 01 got a few scratches and dents, but other than that, everything went off without a hitch. Great job, everyone! Still, what that one guy said about the Dark Gundam before we pummeled him was a little disturbing. Gundams are already strong enough by themselves, we don't need some corrupt satanified version of one going apeshit on us. Oh, well. I guess it's not really something to worry about for now.

You've got a buddy in me, at least, so don't worry. But you'll have to tell me this much, where did you even come from? To us, it looked like you appeared out of nowhere, like some time-traveling ghost. To be honest, I wouldn't be all that surprised if that was the case... it's definitely not the weirdest thing that's ever happened around these parts.

...good job out there, you. I think Misato would've been proud of us for remembering our training. It's funny... a year ago, I could've hardly imagined doing something like that in an Eva... or even piloting an Eva, for that matter. I guess you're more used to it than I am, though.
