Easing the burden of a wary spirit

-Lugging a hefty beaten black case in his hands, Shinji settles down in the common lounge area of Independence 1, now mostly deserted due to the hustle and bustle of the day's schedule. He carefully removes a worn cello and its matching bow from the case, propping it up and pulling aside a chair for himself. He sits and closes his eyes to focus, breathing deeply. The bow is laid gently across the strings, as though they would break with the slightest overexertion. With grace ill befitting of the pilot of a brutal killing machine, Shinji then begins to play a slow, soulful version of this melody from memory. A smile gradually warms his features, and for once, he looks truly at peace. For awhile, at least, he forgets his woes and loses himself in the music. Feel free to stop by and listen if you can spare the time; Shinji will be there for quite awhile.-
