When I rant about Mandeville it's usually a vague complaint about the ignorant students at my school, frivolous, unnecessary purchasing of over-priced vehiclesclothingjewleryshoes they take place in, and their general disinterest in anything besides their own pseudo -self-fulfillment. But, now they have taken the most important aspect of my life and turned into something it was created to erase. Music is now a clique-creating, boundary-inducing excuse for rich kids to reveal their "emotional" side (which, in most cases, is non-existent). I realize that this downward spiral isn't unique to Mandeville, but it's also not as densely present everywhere else. Although this movement toward the end of all things good and true in enough to make anyone cry in a corner, the fact that I can't do anything about it, is even more upsetting. For now, I will continue to endure my senior year on the fact that next year I will be free of this pitiful, hypocritical town in which I've grown up.
On a different note, can we hear 3 cheers for my amazing high school Fontainebleau?
Yes, now we are accepting all teachers previously accused of plagiarism and rape BACK to continue their professions.
Our academic program is #2 in the state. Who knew?
Two more weeks until Bright Eyes. Amen.
